4. Optional Soft Credit Check

Some of our forms state that by submitting the form you authorize Dirt Cheap Agency LLC to obtain a copy of your consumer report. A member of our team may also ask for your permission to run the same check during a phone call, and will only run it if you agree. This authorization is not required to make a purchase, and you may contact us by phone or email instead if you prefer not to give it.

When you give this authorization, we send your first name, last name, email address, phone number and IP address to our service provider, SimpleCheck, which performs a soft inquiry with a consumer reporting agency. A soft inquiry does not affect your credit score and is not visible to lenders. We do not ask for or use your Social Security number or date of birth for this check.

From the result we keep a credit score, an estimate of your available credit, your debt-to-income ratio, the largest pre-qualified offer amount, estimates of your personal and household income, a summary result, the date of the check, whether your credit file is frozen, and a reference number for the report. We do not keep addresses, age or other details the report may contain. A later check replaces these figures. We also keep a record of your authorization, including the wording you agreed to, the date and time, and your IP address.

We use this information only to prepare for and personalize our conversation with you about whether our services are a fit. We do not sell it, we do not share it with advertising platforms, and we do not use it for any purpose unrelated to your inquiry.

This check is available to United States residents only and is run no more than once every 30 days per person.

You can ask us to delete your credit information at any time by emailing [email protected]. You also have rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including the right to obtain a free copy of your consumer report from each nationwide consumer reporting agency once every 12 months at annualcreditreport.com, and the right to dispute inaccurate information with the agency that reported it.
